Hello!
My name is Jayme Willis. As a current University of Denver employee, equipped with a master's certification from the University of Denver Publishing Institute (Summer 2022) and a bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2020), I bring a robust educational background and professional experience that I believe would be invaluable to your organization.
My academic journey equipped me with a deep understanding of effective communication dynamics, including interpreting, analyzing, and conveying information appropriately and constructively. Through internships and professional roles in creative production, strategic communication, and marketing, I honed my skills in graphic design, project management, media content creation, web development, and social media engagement. Additionally, my Publishing Institute certification enriched my knowledge in proofreading, copyediting, digital innovations in publishing, digital marketing, and legal aspects of publishing.
In my current role as a Creative Production Program Associate at the University of Denver's Butler Institute for Families, I have delved deeper into creative production and design of reading materials centered around the advocacy for child welfare, tribal child welfare, behavioral health and early childhood for child and family-serving human service agencies across the nation. This experience has fueled my passion for communications with emphasis on community and has instilled in me a desire for continuous professional growth. So much so, that I am currently pursuing a master’s in Communications Management with a concentration in Marketing Communications. I am a dedicated lifelong learner, and I am confident that my passion for community and inclusion, combined with my diverse skill set, aligns perfectly with the vision of your agency.
